Bakary is a board-Certified Adult -Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP-BC) by American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and a member of ARNPs United of Washington State. He has more than two decades of experience in the healthcare field including internal medicine, geriatric care and home health care and has worked in various Hospitals units, Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation and Long-term care settings as staff nurse and travel nurse in Washington state. His background experience in medicine offers him a wealth of first-hand experiences, giving him an unmatched skillset in both understanding medical systems and providing care to adults with acute and chronic diseases. In 2021, Bakary was part of the team of nurses and providers who managed the COVID-19 emergency crisis in Roseburg, Oregon. He is enthusiastic about providing high quality compassionate and comprehensive evidence-based medical care to patients with acute and chronic conditions. Bakary’s medical practice follows evidenced-based practice guidelines with a strong emphasis on clinical experience, assessment, and effective communication skills in an integrated approach to deliver high quality individualized care. As a Nurse Practitioner who specialized in Acute Care, his background includes managing acute exacerbations of chronic and complex diseases such as Diabetes, hypertension, heart failure, and other conditions. Bakary also provided medical house call to patients in the comfort of their homes in the last four years.
Bakary attended graduate school at the University of Washington School of Nursing in Seattle where he earned his Doctorate Degree in Nursing Practice (DNP). He also received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Washington (UW-Bothell). Prior to graduation from UW-Bothell, he received his Associate Degree in Nursing from Lake Washington Institute of Technology -Kirkland, Washington. He has earned multiple academic and professional awards from the University of Washington and Lake Washington Institute of Technology, respectively. Outside of work, he enjoys reading and writing about current events such as public policy issues. He also likes going to the beach and parks.
